Step-by-Step Installation Instructions for the Euro Bracket by Euro Systems, LLC

Please read the following instructions completely before beginning.

In addition to these instructions, your Euro Bracket Kit should include:
  (1) Euro Bracket, Skull Mounting Bracket (skull not included)
  (4) 5/8” Stainless Screws

The following tools will be needed to complete this project:
   • Electric/Cordless Hand Drill
   • 3/32” Drill Bit
   • Phillips Screw Driver

Step 1 Invert the skull & position the Euro Bracket as shown in Figure 1 or Figure 2 below.  Note the orientation of the bracket & location of the four screw holes.

Step 2 The size of your bear skull will determine which (4) screws holes you will need to use to fasten the bracket to the skull. Figure 1 represents a Bear that weighed 250 pounds.  In this case, the center & lower holes in the Euro Bracket will be used for fastening. Figure 2 represents a bear that weighed 170 pound, and will need to use the top, and bottom holes for fastening.

Step 3 Center the rear rails support holes equal distance left/right of the spinal cord opening & centered on the radius of the high boney spot.

Step 4 While holding the bracket securely in place; drill the appropriate holes in the skull depending on skull size  approximately ¾” deep using a 3/32” diameter drill bit. Note: use the holes in the support rails as a drill guide.

Step 5 With the bracket in place, use two of the 5/8” inch screw fasteners provided, and tighten the screws approximately ½” deep, one at a time into each of boney projection. Note: do not completely tighten screws at this time.

Step 6 Drill the two remaining holes. Insert the two remaining 5/8 inch screw fasteners & tighten. Note: the thickness of the bone where the two front screws attach is quite thin, only snug these screws. Over tightening could strip out the holes.

Step 7 Finish by tightening the two remaining rear screws completely.

You are now ready to proudly display your trophy.
